Today, at Father Arsenie's...

Publish Date

Father Luca, the spiritual father of Techirghiol Monastery, in today's sermon, spoke about the loneliness of contemporary man, about how one closes their heart due to betrayals, to the misunderstanding of those around them, and how, little by little, one reaches anxiety and depression. He said that man should not be alone, but rather from a minimum of two people upwards. Let's not pretend, let's not transform heart pain into false smiles, secretly shed tears into glimmers of fleeting joys, but always open our hearts to someone who can help us. Or we should go close to the one who suffers, the one who is saddened and withdrawn.

He said that both Father Arsenie Papacioc and the other prisoners, when they were released from prison, started their lives from scratch. Without resentment, without thoughts of oppression... only with forgiveness, joy, and true friendship. Yes, true friendship!

And I thought: it was no coincidence that I arrived today at Father Arsenie. Father Luca's spiritual words, the gentle voices of the nuns in the hymns of the Holy Liturgy, and the spirit of Father Arsenie laid a cornerstone on my ailing soul. The foundation of a spiritual friendship with all that means beauty and peace everywhere.
