It's been months since I started coming to Pridvor, almost daily. I read the beautifully interwoven words born of love for God, through God's Love. Anca brought me here. Anca... my friend, not for a lifetime, but for life.
We met the way children do who live in the same apartment building but on different staircases. Anca... always active, with scraped knees, giggling, always ready to break another window with a ball, but forgiving and kind-hearted. Me... organized, respecting the hygiene protocol learned at home, attentive to risks, the well-behaved child all parents love. She was just breaking a window with a ball, I stopped her by talking to her. She laughed and jumped into my arms, showering me with kisses. I gave her a short hug while explaining that I don't typically kiss people, I just explain rules to them. Since then, she's been pulling me by the hand and dragging me through all sorts of bright or dark places, because she is very brave.
Now, loving like a child who trusts and is proud of their friend, she's stepped on my foot and nudged me so many times: 'Say something! Come on, you're good at talking. You're constantly attentive to your surroundings, always seeing the shards on the ground, show them too, so they don't get cut!'
'Alright, Anca, alright... If you want to give them my nagging as a gift...'
So I'm glad to be here, with you, Anca's friends. Forgive me.
Christ is Risen!
