I don't know how others are, but for me, at least at this busy point in life, Sunday-type free time, in which I feel absolved of worldly chores (or at least that's how I should feel) is so precious that when it looms, thoughts and options clamor at the gate of my mind, like a horde of wild horses wanting to win the right to frolic in a wide and long field.
All Sunday mornings are like that... that is, if I manage to overcome the first obstacle – sleep that would want to be prolonged at least on non-working days. Generally, I succeed. From started books to read, each more captivating than the last, to arranging photos in albums and sometimes writing something... to bicycle rides, or barefoot walks through the dew in the yard, to reading something nice to the little early birds... and many other recreational activities.
And, since Sunday is an immense morning, options continue from where we go to liturgy to what we do afterwards. Here it branches out even further: whom we invite over (sometimes it's too short notice, but there are still chances) to where we go if the weather is good... whom we take (because we don't all fit in the car, and not everyone wants to go everywhere), whom we call from outside... whether I take my painting supplies or not... whether we take the picnic basket, which would complicate things a bit... whether I take the camera or stick to what the phone does... how many changes of clothes the little ones need and what children's books will accompany us.
I have a déjà vu that I've written about this before. Then I won't repeat myself. Let the photos speak about a sunny September Sunday. How good that we went out! The next day was going to be full-on winter...
