I remember perfectly. My whole body ached. It hurt if I stood; it hurt if I sat down. There's a variety of allergic reactions the body makes when its immunity is whipped, and my skin had decided to try many of them.
In one of those moments, I went to the window to admire the sunset, and in all the chaos among the city's concrete, a chair sat enthroned. Plastic. Wobbly. But, oh, so poetic… That's when this urge was born within me:Sit down for a moment! Then I felt that, however much pain the body can bear, the soul can achieve just as much flight. Anytime. Anywhere.
Somehow, The Porch is like a sibling to my child. They were born around the same time. They were born, and I received life!
