You told me to be
And the sunrise
And the sunset and the zenith...
You asked me to ascend
And sometimes I'm afraid.
The Devil, an angel who fell
While he was ascending
Higher than was due to him...
To an angel.
But how much is man allowed
To ascend?
And by what means?
You answered me:
Through prayer
Up to heaven
And through love
Up to Him.
Today I'm afraid to ascend...
You called me
Because today
I am only the sunrise,
But I'm afraid
Not to be too high
When I will be
Both the sunrise
And the sunset and the zenith!
