Lord, thank You for everything!
You are the One who never abandoned me. Every time those around me ignored or insulted me, every time I encountered troubles and had no one to help me, every time bad thoughts assailed me, I ran to You, and You received me with open arms.
You urge us to seek You first. That way, we will have a life full of fulfillment, and we will lack nothing we need.
That's what I did, Lord. I put You before me, I confessed You as I knew how, both directly and more discreetly, and You did not disappoint me. You bestowed much peace, joy, and love upon a soul that until then had not experienced any such feeling.
Since I started putting You above everyone else and trying to create a connection with others through You, my life has changed, it has become more beautiful; but especially my soul has changed: the stone has broken, and nobler feelings have begun to emerge from it like rays of light. I still have work to do with the granite rock within me, but I wouldn't even have known about it if You hadn't opened my eyes first.
I did nothing to deserve all this, but You did not look at the wickedness within me, but at the person I could become.
And I am not the center of the universe; I know You do these things with each of us, at the most opportune moment of our lives, but it is up to us whether we will open the gates of our hearts and receive You.
I want to stop making You suffer and instead make You smile. I want to transform into the person You envisioned when You molded me.
Help me not to disappoint You!
