Mrs. Galina Răduleanu, daughter of Father Boris Răduleanu, born on March 9, 1933, passed away this afternoon. A person of integrity can only ascend, like an arrow, to heaven. They can only be directed there, without deviation. With Mrs. Galina, there were no half-measures: everything was clear, transparent, unequivocal. You either loved her or found her insufferable. Indeed, many found her insufferable. Others held her in high esteem – both for her diamond-like character and for the years she had spent in prison.

Just look at her youthful face: fragility, yet steadfastness. “When I am weak, then I am strong” (II Corinthians 12:10). Such people kept Romania's head held high. And we hope not to disgrace their legacy.

Many memories tie me to Mrs. Galina. I will tell just one story, so you understand why she was so atypical for a certain type of mawkish piety, very fashionable nowadays. We were going together to a small hospital church, where at one point someone had brought a skull of an 'unknown martyr' from communist prisons. The improvised reliquary had been brought out for veneration, and people were already queuing. I, who was sitting right in the pew next to her, asked her: 'Come on, aren't you coming?'

And she, with her merciless reply, told me: “God forbid, how could I venerate just anyone like that?! Considering how many downfalls I witnessed in prison... We must know whose remains these are, and then we can venerate them!”

And we, Mrs. Galina, hope to venerate remains that are known to us.

With all my love,

Anca Stanciu

Dumnezeu sa o ierte si sa o odihneasca in pace pe Doamna Galina! O sa o pomenesc in pomelnicul meu.
