I managed to get to Romania this year. When my mother was alive, I used to visit her once or even twice a year. Then I started coming to see other family members, less and less often, for different reasons... This year I visited them after a break of about 4 years.
Thank God, the Mother of God, and the Saints that I went to two monasteries and two churches.
As for Bucharest, I couldn't say I like this city, even though I was born in it, but it's too noisy for me. If I were to stay in Bucharest, I would like to live in one of the houses at the Village Museum... simplicity rests me so much.
One of the churches I entered was small and incredibly beautifully painted. Inside, I found the peace I needed. It was like an oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle. When I smell incense, I feel at home.
Personally, I cannot imagine life without prayer, without forgiving, without asking for forgiveness, without saying "I love you... from my humility, from the depths of my fall." Although you don't necessarily have to say it, but show it.
When I come to Romania, I always want to go to a hilly or mountainous area, if possible into the forest... To find a small monastery where I can stay for a few days, to embrace even a fragment of holy relics, and to cry, to feel that I am truly alive...
I also had some colossal surprises, I met a great soul, and I felt close to two other wonderful souls. I also received a book with brilliant poems and paintings from those at "Pridvor"!
Thank you, dear "pridvoreni," readers or storytellers, for existing!
