In Pridvor turns one year old
On a day of great feast, at the Descent of the Holy Spirit, this work was ignited, which, in time, became for many of us a place of meeting, of confession and of turning back to God. I now look back with emotion and gratitude. It passed quickly, but in this single year many words, tears, joys, confessions and good beginnings have gathered.
This Pridvor grew quickly, like a blessed work, with people, with heart, with longing, with prayer and with much unseen sacrifice.
For me, In Pridvor is not just a website. It is a place where I entered, perhaps timidly at first, with small steps, with many thoughts, with fears, wounds and weaknesses, but also with the desire to be closer to God. Slowly but surely, I felt that Pridvor welcomes each of us as we are: with our story, with our struggle, with our wound and with our hope.
Because each of us, who have met here, carries the same thirst in our soul: not to live in vain, to sanctify ourselves and to draw closer to Christ.
The Savior tells us: “For where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). I believe that here lies one of the most beautiful mysteries of this place: when we gather with good thoughts, with pure words and with a longing for God, Christ does not leave us alone. Perhaps we don't always see each other face to face. Perhaps some of us only know each other through words. But a word written with heart can become a bridge, comfort and, sometimes, the beginning of healing.
In Pridvor I also wrote about myself: about my struggles, about my falls, about how God raised me up and continues to raise me. I did not write because I have all the answers, but because I understood that one heart can secretly lean on the confession of another heart.
I healed by writing. And I am still healing.
With every article, with every thought put on paper and with every pain I had the courage to face, I felt that God is at work. I hope that at least one person who reads these lines will feel that they are not alone, will take courage and say: “If God worked there, perhaps He can work in me too!”
Today, on Pridvor's one-year anniversary, I turn my grateful thoughts to those who embraced this idea in their heart and had the courage to put it into practice. Alex, Anca and all of you who work behind the scenes, I know that behind such a project lies much effort, care, dedicated time and sacrifices that perhaps no one sees.
Thank you. We thank you. We are grateful for your love, for your sacrifice, for your trust and for the way you opened this gate.
I ask God to strengthen you in this good work: to give you strength when you are tired, light when you don't know which way to go, and peace in everything. Because it is good for us to be together.
Happy Anniversary, In Pridvor!
May you continue to grow beautifully and purely, with blessing. May you be a place of rest for the weary, a haven of return for the lost, a land of courage for the weak and a dwelling of confession for those who have received a talent and wish to put it to work. And, above all, may you remain what you have been from the beginning: a place where we gather with a longing for God and where we slowly learn to love one another.
Let us love one another… in Pridvor.
