Do not despair, beloved adults of our parents' generation! I confess to you suddenly, here and now: I have so many friends who, all of a sudden, decide to each leave their pigsty and come to confession, to liturgy, to Unction – to enter the life of the Church. To enter into Life, that is, into Him. To become His members. Struck by Lightning, their souls drive them, madly, to find the Christ they had no idea they had been searching for all this time.
After the last gong of 'good life', behind the curtain of turmoil, on the stage boards of our hearts, under the spotlight that finally found its own crack to penetrate through, a bowed head emerges, burning in silence amidst tearful smiles. It murmurs humbly, without any movement of the lips, only from the beating of a pulse:The Kingdom of God is within you. I stand at the door and knock. You have opened! Thank you for opening! And at that moment, we realize that the stage in our chests and the Cross on Golgotha are made from one and the same wood of the Tree of Life...
We stumble and meet Christ. I want you to be aware, beloved parents, that the possibility for us to even consider the option of directing our binoculars of research for answers towards God comes from the fact that, indeed, most of us do not worry about tomorrow, because we were born with an assured level of well-being, a fact that fulfilled a large part of our horizontal searches and whispered into our headphones to aim for the vertical axis. And this is exclusively your merit, the merit of the God within you and of your tireless labor for our well-being, 'so that we may have everything you did not have.'
We flow from one another and, just as the Saints of communist times prepared the ground for you to rebuild through work everything that had been torn down, similarly you propel us into the waiting arms of Christ. And what's funny is that, most of the time, you fulfill this mission without realizing it, without even suspecting that you are part of His plan and that you are executing it with holiness. Without having known Christ yourselves first, you whisk us directly into Him, and thus you find Him, through our madness. Madness which, of course, drives you crazy, taking care that, before elegantly propelling you from the core through the peel, it also gets on your nerves, stepping proudly shod in stiletto heels – superb heels, the kind with red soles that...walk through fire! Catwalk with nailed soles, baby!
Don't be mad at us, but if you really can't help it, then be mad and forgive us, because, you see, we are realizing earlier and earlier that this plastic world no longer satisfies us. Because we realize it lies to us more and more cheaply. Because it wants to take us for fools, but we are smarter and we take its hand. Then the questions and searches begin, this is kilometer zero of our journeys towards Meaning, winding paths of wanderings, rediscoveries and bittersweet tears. And then we bite the bait, and God fishes out all the scattered ones on the road home, grabs us by the scruff and gathers us into His lap of light, where it smells of vanilla and sweet forgiveness nailed to the wood of the cross.
And this is how we become steps to Heaven for each other. For we ascend only through you. Dressed in the clothes woven by your genes, we walk with your steps, we tread exactly like you and sigh in the same language, we smile with your mouth and our tears are just as salty. With every movement, with every breath, we carry you within us, and you us equally, because salvation is only and solely together. True freedom, the one that tastes of blue and an angel's wing, is only together.Together.
Just let yourselves, I beg you, let us shake off the des-from the shoulders of hope! We want you on our team! The future is bright, because it is ours ('ours' also includes 'yours') – it sounds good only if you are with us, beloved great person!
Hello, do you want to be friends?? Do you want to play with us???
Come with us, allow yourself to laugh, allow yourself to be, and let that be enough for you!
„Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3).
Take off your shoes and come! Let's run together through the grass of life, let's let it tickle laughter in our soles!
Country, country, we want soldiers!
Whom?
„You, all of you!”...
