VIDEO! Truth and Courage: 'The Burning Bush'

The host Rafael Udriște, alongside his guests, Fr. protos. Vicențiu Oboroceanu, abbot of Antim Monastery in Bucharest, Fr. archim. Mihail Stanciu, Antim Monastery, prof. dr. George Enache, "Lower Danube" University of Galați, Fr. protos. Antipa Burghelea, secretary of Antim Monastery, and Vladimir Bulat, art critic, will discuss "The Burning Bush Movement", initiated 70 years ago at Antim Monastery in Bucharest. Back then, a group of monks and intellectuals aimed to live in the spirit of the Jesus Prayer.

The spiritual phenomenon "The Burning Bush", as historian Marius Vasileanu calls the Antim movement, could be neither understood nor controlled by the communist regime, and precisely for this reason it had to be destroyed at all costs. The "Burning Bush" group, but also the extended group of its members, who were imprisoned for their faith under all sorts of pretexts, provide clear proof of martyrdom.
