VIDEO! Purification, Illumination, Deification

We live in a world where everything seems diluted, sweetened, polished, because we are all grieving, wounded, traumatized. We hurt everywhere, no matter where you touch us. Because of this, we sometimes tend to craft a Gospel according to our own capabilities, forgetting the words of Monk Nicolae of Rohia: "Be realistic, ask for the impossible!" But what this "impossible" is, many times even we in the Church no longer know. We have lost the target, along with the way to reach it, when, little by little, we mixed the spirit of Scripture with the spirit of the world.

Who we are, where we must go, what the steps are, and, most importantly, how to make this "impossible" possible—all these things are spoken about by Metropolitan Hierotheos of Nafpaktos, in a recent address from September this year, addressed to monks, but also to all those who desire Christ above all else.
